PGA TOUR Unveils Senior Leadership Changes: New Faces, Expanded Roles, and Strategic Growth Initiatives
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – The PGA TOUR has announced a series of strategic moves to strengthen its leadership team and accelerate growth. CEO Brian Rolapp revealed the following updates, designed to enhance the organization's capabilities and deliver greater value to fans, players, and partners:
- Dhruv Prasad Joins as Chief Commercial Officer: With over two decades of experience in the entertainment industry, Prasad brings expertise in sports, live events, broadcast, digital media, and music. He will oversee corporate partnerships, media business development, broadcasting, gaming, international operations, licensing, merchandising, PGA TOUR events, golf course properties, and corporate strategy.
- Paul Hicks as Executive Vice President, Strategic Communications and Public Policy: Hicks, a seasoned professional with a background in strategic communications and public relations, will lead the TOUR's communications strategy and build dedicated capabilities in public policy and government relations.
- Andy Weitz Expands Role as Chief Marketing Officer: Weitz, who joined the TOUR in August 2024, will lead all content creation, production, analytics, research, and technology, focusing on fan engagement and brand building. He will also oversee an integrated PGA TOUR Studios team, responsible for various content formats and technologies.
- Neera Shetty Takes on Additional Responsibilities: Shetty, the Chief Legal Officer and EVP of Social Responsibility, will temporarily oversee talent and culture, community and public engagement, global workplace and facilities management, the First Tee, and aviation, while the organization assesses its long-term structure.
These changes come as the TOUR bids farewell to Allison Keller and Rick Anderson, who are retiring at the end of the year, and Len Brown, who is transitioning to a new role as Special Advisor. Rolapp expressed gratitude for their contributions and highlighted the importance of these leadership updates in the TOUR's journey towards sustainable success.
The new hires, Prasad and Hicks, will commence their roles on October 28th and November 3rd, respectively, marking an exciting phase in the PGA TOUR's evolution.
